Technology that Helps

I have been a professional IT Security and Messaging Software Architect in the banking and securities industries.   Besides my paid work, I was a volunteer contributor to the US NIST Cloud Computing Security Reference Architecture (now retired - oh well).  My technical interests now include social and environmental data analysis, bias in artifical intelligence, and cybersecurity.

I have lived in Montgomery County since 1991, and currently live in the Wheaton district of Silver Spring.

I serve on the board of directors, and as Montgomery County cluster coordinator, of the Congregation Action Network , a collective of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Humanist, Hindu, Buddhist, and other congregations in the DC Metro region, bringing faithful resistance to bear in the DC/MD/VA region to end detention, deportation, profiling, and criminalization of immigrants and demanding and upholding justice, dignity, safety, and family unity.

I am an active leader with Jews United for Justice , both the 501(c)(3) arm and the Campaign Fund.

I am a longtime member of several local political and environmental organizations, including the Women’s Democratic Club of Montgomery County, Nature Forward, and One Montgomery Green.
